 Het jeugdige drietal DeWolff uit Geleen is bekend van hun gelijknamige mini-lp die een muzikale mix laat horen van allerlei stijlen uit de jaren zestig en zeventig gecombineerd met de urgentie van deze tijd. Denk hierbij aan namen als Deep Purple, Atomic Rooster, Grateful Dead, Radio Birdman, Led Zeppelin, Cream en Pink Floyd (met Syd Barrett). Hun instrumentarium bestaat uit drums, (Hammond-) Orgel, gitaar en zang, waarbij eventuele randappaparatuur, zoals Theremin, Fuzz- en Wah Wah-pedalen niet geschuwd wordt.
Deze jongens hebben al een aantal optredens op tv gedaan bij "De Wereld Draait Door". De heilige rocktempel Paradiso in Amsterdam is ook al 2 keer aangedaan op eigen naam en de optredens in de rest van het land zijn al niet meer te tellen.
Was hun eerste mini-album al een aanrader, op dit volledige album gaan alle remmen los. DeWolff zelf geeft de volgende omschrijving:
 

STRANGE FRUITS AND UNDISCOVERED PLANTS

It's what we are: a strange fruit. Not like the others. A whiff of something that was, about forty years ago, but different: new, innovative, outrageous, heavy, dreamy, bluesy, even jazzy. Strange. But not yet completely discovered by the listening ears and the eyes. And still absorbing all kinds of infuences, allowing us to grow more and more and more, like a plant. That's what makes us the undiscovered plant.

"Strange Fruits and Undiscovered Plants" as a unity is also a metaphore for DeWolff because, once you have closed your eyes and the music reaches you and your ears and your body and your soul, DeWolff's music is taking over your mind (at least that's what it's supposed to do). So let the night come, lie down on the ground, light some candles and some incense and let the strange fruits and undiscovered plants take over your mind.
